What you describe suggests your file used an 8-bit encoding, and then Xcode, for some reason, decided to interpret it as Unicode. Open an Info window for the .strings file and change the encoding back to the 8-bit encoding you originally used (tell Xcode to reinterpret it, not to translate it). Then, because it should be UTF-16, select UTF-16, and allow Xcode to translate it. -- F |
