Once you've learned how to set up a simple user interface in Cocoa/ Obj-C, chances are you consider it as even easier than doing command line I/O.


Doing the CurrencyConverter without Bindings tutorial should give you most of the knowledge you need in about one or two hours. Then, send output to an NSTextView, get input from an NSTextField, replace parameter parsing with asking checkboxes, continue to code your calculations in C or even C++.
