Re: Project Find will not work properly

When I do a find in project it will only search a few files or none at all. It seems to finish very quickly. Does anyone know why that would happen? The other MAC programmer here working on the project does not have this problem. We are using CVS and the project file should be the same.

Any help would be appreciated as I have to rely on grep for now.

The "In project" popup is just a collection of settings, which you can modify yourself to extend or restrict the search scope; if you made changes in the past, those changes might be sticking to the "In Project" search.  Click the Options... button to see how it's set.  Look especially at:

- the "Search in Open Projects" checkbox, which should be checked
- the "All files in this project" radio button, which should be selected
- "Project files only" or "Project files and frameworks"
- "All candidate files"

Note that you can use the Add... button to create new named collections of search criteria, and can use regex pattern matching on filenames, and specific search paths ("Find in Folders") to expand or restrict the scope of the search.
