Re: Xcode complains: configuration settings file does not exist

You can try 'clean all' to remove any extraneous obj file in the build; and rebuild again.
Wouldn't hurt.

I have a project which is complaining:

The configuration settings file (null) will not be used due to an error: File “externalrelease.xcconfig” does not exist.

The project doesn't have a configuration file, and in the Build pane of Target info, the popup where you specify one is set to "None" (and in fact the popup is dimmed).

After reading the docs on configuration files, and carefully scanning the Project and Target settings, I still don't see how to fix this. Since the "Based on" popup is set to None, it seems that Xcode shouldn't even be looking for a configuration file.

Suggestions?
