Re: Any way to get tiny "clear console" button back?



I agree with Apple that the previous 'clear console' button was poor UI design. On several occasions, I have meant to click the 'scroll down' button but accidentally hit the 'clear console' button instead, wiping out valuable data.

However, i agree with other posts that there needs to be a very convenient way to clear the console, since as a console programmer this is one of my most commonly used UI controls.

Neat.

I generally don't like OS X's toolbars-in-every-window HI guideline (I
think it wastes a lot of space compared to a single floating toolbar),
so I typically turn them off and use menu accelerators. I'm generally
unaccustomed to using the toolbar because of this.
