Re: Problems with Interface Builder 3.0?

Hey Stephen -

I'm sorry that you had to run into these two issues. The good news is that we've resolved them for our next release. I don't know of a workaround for the changing the column type.

I'm seeing some odd problems in Interface Builder 3.0 after importing a .NIB file previously developed under 10.4 / XCode 2.4.1.

The issue affects a IBHiListView (e.g. "Databrowser) and specifically, its "columns" (IBHiListViewColumn).  In my case, I had nine columns, 8 of type "text" and one of type "page rank".  Now, the List View Column Attributes show up as "Custom" for all column types.

Despite this, the .NIB file continues to work correctly with my application code -- until I change the "Custom" type to "Text" -- which then no longer works (no text is displayed).

Attempting to change BACK to "custom" results in CRASHING Interface Builder when I attempt to SAVE the changes to the .NIB.

ALSO -- the "Property ID" field for the List View Column Attributes shows up as a number, instead of the 4-character code.

Anyone else seen this, or have any insights?
