Januar Xcode Documentation update always shows TOCs?

Since updating our Xcode Documentation to the Januar Doc Update, every time a new page is shown in the Xcode Documentation Viewer, it will show the left-hand side TOC section, which is very annoying, given that in most quick API lookups, this uses valuable window real estate, but is not needed.

Previously, one could hide the TOC and it would remain hidden until showing it again, but since the Januar update, hiding the TOC is no longer persistent.

Is there any way to fix this (some hidden pref value or similar)? Or do we just have to wait for the next update?
