Hello xcode-users,
I came to install gcc 3.3 into my Xcode 2.5 installation today as I
happened to need it. However, after installing, I noticed I still
couldn't use gcc 3.3
I have a system set up where I have Tiger and Leopard both installed,
as I need to test stuff in Tiger to make sure it runs. However, my
default boot volume is Leopard.
When I used "locate gcc-3.3" in Terminal it showed that the installer
decided to install it to "/Volumes/Tiger/usr/bin" instead of Leopard's
/usr/bin. Tiger IS the first partition on the disk, but as I said,
I am booted into Leopard so as far as the Installer is concerned,
Leopard is the boot volume.
Anyone got any ideas how to get around this? Is this a known issue or
should I file a Radar bug report on it?
