avoiding sending the application

In my project (http://kevin.is-a-geek.net/projects/satyrs). We'd like to
'pull' rather than 'push' the application and files to the agents to avoid a
double send.

When we try to get the script to run an application already on the agent
systems directing its output to a file XGrid says there is an error, on
further inspection the controller shows 'task: failed with status 139' each of
the submitted jobs.

Any ideas?

We're working on getting the agents to pull the input files from the client
rather than have them sent through XGrid now.. I'm sure I'll be writing later
with problems ;)
