Re: New API

Hi all,

Oh, ok, I went to the session (the fact that there was an Xgrid
session was also public), and the API (not itself public, but its
existence is public) looked interesting, and I was going to review and
critique it, but if its not available, its not available.

I went to the session too, and I thought the API features were already there in xgrid TP2 - am I wrong? I didn't write the API calls down, so I can't test for their existence! Waiting for the conference DVD to arrive so I can swot up again.

In Xgrid Technology Preview 2, the only public API provided is a plug-in API for Xgrid.app. In Tiger, we plan to provide a new and completely re-designed "Xgrid Foundation" API. This new API has NOT yet been seeded (i.e., Xgrid is not on the confidential WWDC Tiger seed). We will post more information here as it becomes public.

Sincerely,
Ernest Prabhakar
