Could you tell me how I could use a utility like "John the Ripper" a

I was going to jump all over you until I saw that your email was from
the FBI, so presumably you want to use this power for good instead of
evil.
The message claims to be from someone with an fbi.gov email address.
I've communicated with FBI agents before, and this message doesn't
look like it came from one.
I get email all the time claiming to be from my bank, that invites me
to hand over my account identification credentials. Then, I read the
headers and discover that the originating MTA isn't even remotely
related to my bank. Have a look at the headers for this message from
"Pierce T.Wetter III" and ask yourself if it looks legitimate.
Er, I'm Pierce T. Wetter III, and I'm not the FBI agent I was the one
who responded.
It was Eric Chapman who was fbi.gov guy.
The headers on the original say it comes from prserv.net and from
there
a [10.248.52.9] address which looks to be an internal address.
psserv.net is owned by attglobal.net (AT&T) so its not particularly
conclusive. We can probably tell by whether Eric Chapman actually
responds.
Your presumption above may be... well, presumptuous.
Any smidgen of a hint on what you want to use this for?
Terrorism? Organized Crime? Child Porn?
All of those are excellent guesses. I think the moderators may wish
to have a conversation with Chuq about this.
