Just a short note that I've mostly resolved my recent "complete
failure to back up Xsan" using Netvault and fiber-attached Scalar 24
(through Qlogic switch). During my recent server room upgrade I
decided that I'd plug in two connections to the switch from my G5. It
seems now that was a very bad idea. According the technote sent to
me by Bakbone (pdf prepared by Exabyte) this is a bad combination.
It confuses the backup system (two paths to the library too many,
apparently). The fix is to remove of the redundant connections.
