I tried cvfsck, and it didn't report any errors or do much of
anything (that I could see).
I reinstalled Xsan 1.1 on another controller and it is now hosted by
1.1 (and the last 1.2 controller is down and ready to be reinstalled)
But I still see this weird file corruption and file confusion...
Double clicking on a QuickTime movie gives me a dialog box that this
is file that QuickTime does not understand, and trying a PDF tells me
that it is a file "used by Mac OS X and cannot be opened". But both
of these files are accessible through an AFP re-share of the Xsan
volume.
Strange. And discomforting.

Hi Again,
Today I've noticed a new problem which is getting worse, files
apparently corrupting themselves on Xsan.
This is very strange, and I've never seen this on my Xsan before,
but it is staring me in the face right now.... Renders, movie
files, image files, everything is either now opening or being
opened by an app and then being corrupted (eg. half an image).
I am investigating, and I am going to finish un-installing 1.2 on
the clients and re-installing 1.1 (it's about half and half right
now), as well as I think I will reinstall 1.1 on the controllers.
But I will try to do a series of non-destructive, less invasive
troubleshooting procedures first (like rebooting everything!!).
