What version of OS X are you running? Is it the same version on all hosts?
You are not supposed to combine different versions of OS X and XSan so I would proceed carefully.

Subject: File corrupting on Xsan
Hi Again,
Today I've noticed a new problem which is getting worse, files
apparently corrupting themselves on Xsan.
This is very strange, and I've never seen this on my Xsan before, but
it is staring me in the face right now.... Renders, movie files,
image files, everything is either now opening or being opened by an
app and then being corrupted (eg. half an image).
I am investigating, and I am going to finish un-installing 1.2 on the
clients and re-installing 1.1 (it's about half and half right now),
as well as I think I will reinstall 1.1 on the controllers. But I
will try to do a series of non-destructive, less invasive
troubleshooting procedures first (like rebooting everything!!).
:)
