Hello All,
I've read the "Best practices for data integrity" article in Apple's knowledge base repeatedly. One of the best practices is the do a metadata snap shot. I've done it and that makes sense to me. In the document, it recommends using the cron to automate the process. But, part of creating the metadata snap shot is unmounting the clients and shutting down the volume. Does anybody have a recommendation as to structure of a cron script that would accomplish the entire process of unmounting the volume from clients, shutting down the volume, taking the snap shot, starting up the volume and remounting the volume?
Thank you for your time,
James L. McMahan Jr.
