Re: interoperability question...

Hi

I'm sure there's way more knowledgeable and experienced folks out there, lurking... In any case, I'l add add my 2 cents: I've helped join a Windows Server to Xsan and it wasn't a perfect experience... But still interesting... This was with Xsan 1.1 hosted on 10.3.9 server using Stornext 2.4 (i believe) on a Windows 2003 server. Seemed to work, but there was no central user directory (AD or OD), so perms were a little skewed. And then later a backup app running on the windows server managed to lock every file on the Xsan volume (marked them all with an archive flag). fun times... but YMMV especially with later version of ADIC and Xsan software.

Does anyone have any experience adding Windows and Linux servers to Xsan?

Thanks in advance, any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,
