bru and xserve

hi,

i recently upgraded to XSAN 1.4 and so far so good. i had a few issues with the server and SAN set up that are resolved now. the main one of which was i can now restart the server without have to physically power it off. i was also able to resolve an unrelated kerberos problem with samba. so all in all i have had a pretty stable SAN for about a week.

i just have one remaining issue left to resolve. when i restart the server bru thinks that there is new hardware added and needs a rescan. no new hardware was installed or moved between any of the restarts. i also cannot log in and need to reset the password using the config app to be able to connect with the console app. so my current work around is after a restart i reset the password and then login to the console app and do a scan. if that fails i use sudo ./ server --scan. then all should be ok

does anyone have a similar problem and perhaps a better work around?
