Hi Mark,
Choosing the interface for your controllers in Xsan Admin governs how
metadata traffic is routed, but discovery and management are still on the
public LAN. Bonjour and Xsan Admin as well as Internet traffic are kept
off the metadata network, which is righteous because that traffic is not
latency-sensitive. That's the whole point of having a separate segment for
your metadata.
