Hey All...i just posted this to the Xsanity forum...and thought I would
re-post it here too...in the hope of a cure!!
See below!

Hi All
Have done my share of Googling on this one...and now i trun to you all for
help!!
Sorenson Squeeze.
We have an XP box running Sorenson Squeeze...using it's watch folder
facility set-up to run background encodes etc.
The machine works fine and will encode fine...unless the watch folder is
located on Xsan. Here is what happens.
We copy items from the source folder to the destination 'watch' folder (all
located on various parts of the SAN...accessed via SMB re-sharing not
fibre). If we copy 1 file it works correctly. If we copy more than one file
it begins encoding one of the first few files...and then immediately moves
the other files to the completed folder ....the names are correct, but they
are zero k files.....ie nothing in them!
If we move the watch folder to a windows share or a regular AFP share...all
works correctly.
Anyone seen this (or similar) behaviour?
FYI, we are at Xsan 1.2 and OS X 10.4.6 and the windows box is XP SP 2 with
all patches applied.
looking forward to a healthy and robust debate about the above!!
ciao
