If the export process is time consuming and the user tries to quit
Aperture while it's exporting in the background, is there something
in Aperture 2.0 that warns them or prevents them from doing so?
thanks!

Greg,
Instead of a modal progress sheet, exports now happen in the
background so the user can continue using Aperture. The progress
information that your plug-in passes to the API is now displayed in
the Activity Window. (Window -> Show Activity)
There is a known issue in 2.0 where in some cases, a plug-in will
not display an entry in the Activity Window. We have fixed this for
a future release. The actual export will continue even though no
progress is displaying.

Sounds great. However, could you provide some hints about that
modeless export feature and the changes in the threading model? It
looks like I'm facing exactly that problem - I don't see "any
progress
window" for Aperture 2.0...

Grigory
