1. Is there a recommended way of signing executable (Mach-O) code under Mac
OS X?
2. Is there a certain kind of certificate that can be used to sign code? Is
it possible to get a signed version of this type of certificate from the
various authorities out there (Verisign, Thawte, etc.)?
3. I have read in a couple of places that prebinding will break code
signing, because prebinding causes the executable file to change, which
changes the digest of the executable. I've noticed that Xcode and g++ both
have the ability to disable prebinding. If I disable this, am I guaranteed
that prebinding information will never change my executable file, or does
this just prevent "initial" prebinding?
4. Is there a recommended way of working around prebinding for the purposes
of digital signatures? I've seen some code that does this, but I was
wondering if there was an Apple-sanctioned way.
Thanks for your time.
Jamie
