Re: More Sec* callback problems

I've setup a callback using kSecEveryEventMask.

I fail to every get a kSecDataAccessEvent.

I was expecting to get it when using a certificate or private key for a crypto operation.

A "data access" event occurs when someone retrieves the data (i.e. contents) of an item from a keychain. You aren't asking for the certificate or the key's data to be returned, but rather for an operation to be performed with that certificate or key, without returning the contents of the certificate or key to the caller. The term "access" may be a bit misleading here.

What you're asking for is a "private key was used to sign/encrypt/ verify/decrypt" event, which sounds like it could be a useful enhancement. :-)

I do get the lock and unlock events.
