To install your content, at runtime, you'll want to create an alias or a symlink to your help folder (Help Files) in the current user's Help folder. You can locate this folder using the Folder Manager APIs. It's path is ~/Library/Help/.

Once the alias or symlink is there, the next time Help Viewer launches, it will add your help to its list of known Help Books. You can then call AHSearch, AHGotoPage, AHLookupAnchor, etc., from a help menu (of your own creation), or help buttons in your application.

That didn't seem to work. First off, I had to create the Help folder in ~/Library/ because it wasn't there. I ran our Help Files folder through the Apple Help Indexing Tool and it generated the index. I even logged out and in to see if that made it rebuild its list of known help books.

When I look in Help Viewer's Library menu, it doesn't list my help book.

Any other ideas? Or help files are generated by RoboHelp, so their format is pretty crappy, but I did fix up the main file so it didn't generate any warnings in AHIT.
