That did the trick. It showed up in Help Viewer's Library menu after moving the alias there, and I could search for strings in our help book (the search source popup has our app name there now instead of "Search (null)"). So, any reasons why it wouldn't work in ~/Library/Help? I checked the privs of that folder and they're rwxr-xr-x, compared to /Library/Documentation/Help which is rwxrwxr-x. I doubt that matters though.
