Yes, this is the correct thing to do.

Help Viewer checks the last modified date of the files on the server and compares it to the local files. If the files on the server are newer, then it will show them.

It's possible, from the way you've described it, that your files on the server have an older mod date than the local files.

You can set the local files last modified dates to an older date using "touch". See the man page to see how.
