Something off

Hi there,

My question is not really technical, sorry.

Because I was perplex about how to enhance the design my current app, I
was reading again the set of papers about AppleScript in MacTech magazine
CD, and I found the Chris Espinosa set of contributions to MacTech,
especially the papers he wrote about the evolution of programming for the
mac from basic to objective C passing through pascal (which is in fact my
favorite language together with AS).

Personally I am tired with all these change of development tools (I am
47 years old... and I play with a mac since 1985 now :) I don't want to
learn a new language, Objective C, when I am so effective and comfortable
with pascal and AppleScript. But I know that Mac OS X is our future (if
there is one) and Cocoa is the heart of MacOS X.

As Mac users we have one of the most beautiful language at our
disposition AppleScript and one of the most powerful IDE project/Interface
builder. Why don9t put them together and make a true modern tool which would
allow mac users (and not only developers) to exploit the new power of the
mac as easily it was with Hypercard previously. In other word It would be a
true AS compiler linked to AS libraries translated from the present
Objective C (NeXT) set of classes. Is it too idiot to hope that ??

Best regards,

Patrick Iglesias
