| Now I understand, I don't have to send the answer myself, it will automatically be sent when the handleGetExtensionPreferencesIDEvent:withReplyEvent: is sent. So It will be just: - (void) handleGetExtensionPreferencesIDEvent:(NSAppleEventDescriptor *)event withReplyEvent:(NSAppleEventDescriptor *)replyEvent { [replyEvent setParamDescriptor:[[NSAppleEventDescriptor descriptorWithString:@""] coerceToDescriptorType:'TEXT'] forKeyword:keyDirectObject]; } I think I got confused by not seeing the answer event in the Debugger Console. But I can see it in the System Console if I set the environment variables for debug Apple Events. Ivan
