Preferences Model

Hi all!

I'm stumbling around trying to implement a preferences model in my little app. I've found a couple of ideas about using a text model, but nothing really about the correct xml plist method. There seems to be some coca examples out there though..

so i was wondering if anyone has any decent examples they could share with a newbie...or is it possible to integrate the cocoa stuff i've looked at within an applescript application??
