Re: Debugger?

Welcome to the world according to Applescript. Things always seems half-implemented, even more so since the change to OS X. Just ask yourself how many apple applications are applescript recordable. Actually, better not.
Still, there are solutions to debugging even the largest projects in AS Studio, albeit they are solutions. The benefit is indeed this incredible object model for making available an application framework for we Applescripters.
I was puzzled that you wrote, John:

I'm not following you here, on your example for the breakdown in integration. Surely you are referring to something more expansive than what is solved by a simple line:
set bounds of window 1 to {80, 120, 850, 750}
which resizes my windows just splendidly.
Surely you don't really meant to posit that your "#1 issue" should be everyone else's. I've long desired (promised/anticipated) features in the Applescript world that have not come to life for the last several years. For those of us who have been Applescripters for some time (I wouldn't know Obj-C code if it jumped up and bit me on the NSAss), there's nothing like what AS Studio provided--not FaceSpan, not Smile, nothing.

Anyhow, I really only set out to ask for clarification on the resizing window issue.
Cheers,
Joe
