How about scripting the "Paste" command?

OK---great advice about floating windows above all other apps--it worked like a charm! Now, I want to have my application be able to take some data from itself (say a block of text) and be able to paste it into any application--even if that application is not scriptable.

Can my app with the floating window paste into other applications?
