Under 7. Documentation, I forgot to mention:

that you should look at Carbon AppleScript documentation, too. There's more
there than you can find in the Cocoa documentation. It will help your
understanding, and show you some additional things you can do by calling
Carbon functions in your Cocoa app.

That you should read the Apple Event Manager documentation at some point, to
gain comfort with the lingo and some of the basic ideas behind AppleScript
coding. I read it in the original hardcopy volume "Inside
Macintosh:Interapplication Communication" published in June 1993, much of
which is still valid and applicable. Updated versions are available on your
disk (I believe) and on the Apple Web site.
