Panels Attached to window problems

Hi all, I have an applescript application that I am building with Xcode but I can't get my status panel thats attached to the main window to work properly. I call it in as a window attached to the main window, then have it hide, but then if i try to call it again it wont appear. Can someone list a few lines of code that will call a panel attached to a window repeatedly, I just can't figure out why it only works once. Thanks!
