I have some questions about security..._______________________________________________
Let's say I am designing an applescript studio app that will allow users to backup their files to a local network server. The app will have two fields - name and password. But instead of having the user type in their name and password each time, I want the program to remember their name and password. This means I have to save that info somewhere. Questions:
1. Can I save the data securely somewhere within the app itself? Or, if not,
2. Is there some way I can encrypt the info and write it to a text file in the user's prefs folder?
Thanks in advance.
