Did you install the AE Monitor application? If so, it spews a ton of Apple event info for everything in the system which probably explains both of the things that you are seeing.

Two more questions, which I don't know if have been stated before:
- Why compile a script is now such a terrible time-task?
- Apparently, the old "run log" was now substituted with a pretty long-long
list describing anything happening in the script -low level apple events-,
which makes nearly impossible find your own "log stuff" in a great bunch of
Kb of text. I must be missing something here: a preference?
