question about global floating window

I could know the way to make floating window above all appllications from past message of this mailing list.
The way is using following code in "awake from nib" handler for the panel.

on awake from nib theObject
set floating of theObject to true
set hides when deactivated of theObject to false
end awake from nib

I could make a panel that float above all applications, but when I click the floating panel, the application which the floating window belogn to is activated. I want the application which own floating window to stay in background.

How to keep the owner application of the floating window in backgrond ?
