I'm using the "mount volume" command in an AS studio project. I'm mounting some SMB drives and specifically not asking them for their password. I want the regular password dialog box to appear in the Finder so users can decide if they want their password saved or not. I'm using the syntax "smb://server_path/share_name". I'm not supplying a user ID or password in this case. When I run this command from my Studio app I get a beach ball and a password prompt in the Run log. If I just run the same syntax in Script Editor it behaves as I want it to. Is there some trick to having the Finder password dialog show up when using "mount volume" in a Studio project? Thanks!
