Re: Universal build set, but not built

Be sure to select the "10.4 Universal" SDK in the settings for the project

In summary, the steps for universal are:

    1) upgrade project targets to native Xcode

    2) select both i386 and ppc architectures

    3) select 10.4 universal SDK

An unofficial step 4 would be to ensure that your build style -- development

or deployment -- is still set the way you want it, as Xcode may have changed

it (apparently this was corrected in the recent 2.2.1).

In Step 1, if your app contained Java sources, you will need to remove them

from the target before upgrading, and then find some creative way to handle

them afterwards (I resorted to the shell script build phase for my Java

stuff, which just makes a jar file that goes into the app's resource

bundle).

No joy. Here's what I have done:

Upgraded the project to native.
Selected both PowerPC & Intel for the architecture.
Turned prebinding off.
Selected 10.4 (Universal) for the target SDK.
There's no Java stuff.

Again it builds OK for Deployment, but fails to build for Development with 5 warnings, 1 error, and pages of build problems in the build log.

Any other ideas, anyone?
