You know what it's like to over analyze a problem. I already use the
method you have described to store another variable. Your solution is
perfect in it's simplicity. Problem solved!
Thanks again,

I think it is not good idea to get name from images in data cells

I'll suggest you to store name and full path of image into another
data cell
and keep it invisible.

Dear List,
I have successfully placed several images into data cells of a table
view and it shows up just fine. I am having trouble when I try to
determine what image is loaded into each data cell. Ideally, I would
like to know the image name but everything I have tried to retrieve
that data fails. I searched the list archive for any clues but came
up empty. Does anyone know how to retrieve the name of an image from
a data cell in a table view?
Thanks in advance.
Best,
John
