Sounds like you have xcode set to compile for ppc, and not universal.
I ran into the same problem the first time I tried to run something
from my G4 17" on an intel mac.
do this:
select the top-level file in the project inspector like this:
get info for the project. You should see this window:
make sure "cross-develop using target SDK" is the same as pictured
above. That should fix it.

OK, so I finished the ASS program I was writing (and it uses the
plist system flawlessly, many thanks to Benjamin Dobson :-). I
sent it to my friend in France, who is running OS 10.4.11 just like
me. He put it on the desktop and double-clicked it.
Nothing. Nada. Rien.
Nothing is even written to the Console (I think).
So I wrote a one-line HelloWorld app in the scripting editor, and
sent it over. Double-clicking this doesn't work either, but at
least it produces an error message:
Vous ne pouvez pas ouvrir l'application "untitled.app" car elle ne
fonctionne pas sur ce système
[You can't open the application "untitled.app" because it doesn't
work on this system]
What the heck? Has anyone encountered similar behaviour and has
any clues at all about what to do?
My system:
iBook G4 running OS 10.4.11
XCode 2.0
the script editor tells me that my AS version is 1.10.7.
Friend's system:
iMac 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo running OS 10.4.11
AS version 1.10.7
One thing occurs to me: I made no attempt to French-ify my
application, since my friend understands English. However, could
this be causing the problem?
Grateful thanks in advance for any and all assistance!
