Brian,

What is your desired behavior?  In most cases, closing a window should leave
it closed, which is default behavior.  If it's coming back when the app
becomes active after resigning (which is what you accomplish by clicking on
the desktop first then the app icon second), you must have already done some
coding to make that happen, right?  (like putting in a "will become active"
event handler?)
