Re: Xcode 3.0 Problems

Glad to hear that someone else is experiencing this with XCode 3.0 (I guess)

Not sure what to do about these buggy issues, especially since none of my previous bug reports have been acted upon by Apple.

If anyone has ideas about how to get Apple to address these things, let us know!

Thanks!

John

I'm having very similar problems. I've just upgraded to Leopard on my main
machine (PPC G5) and just stared editing my first project (last built in PPC
Tiger with Xcode 2.5) using Xcode 3.0.

So far Xcode 3 has quit unexpectedly 2-3 times while building. Also even
though the active target is set to "release" and the debugger is closed, the
project runs very very slowly when executed with "Build and Go".

It runs at expectedly normal speeds when launched from the Finder.

Is there something I need to be changing?

Also, I recall that Xcode 2.5 was what to use on Tiger for Leopard and Tiger
compatibility. But before I start editing all my projects, I just wanted to
confirm that Xcode 3.0 is fine to use on Leopard for Tiger compatibility.

Thanks!

PS: Note relating to something Philip said about table backgrounds in an
earlier posting: I was disappointed to find some of the same issues with
customized tables from WAY back still persist with Xcode 3.0. Unless I
actually select the table view in Interface builder and save the NIB before
building the project I invariably get problems (sometimes applescript errors
apparently related to the ID of the table in the NIB, other times improperly
coloring columns, etc).

I recently started working with XCode 3.0 on Leopard, and am tweaking
an app I wrote in Xcode 2.5 on an older machine. Immediately after
opening the app, everything works fine. However, as I work with
scripts and nibs, it starts to get very slow when typing in the
applescript editing window and when using the Project Find window.
Eventually, when I build and run (command-R) the app, it launches the
app, but XCode unexpectedly quits.

Am I safe in assuming this is a bug?

Anyone else experiencing strange behavior in XCode 3.0 for Leopard?
