-1708 error on 10.5.2

Is anyone getting strange -1708 errors since updating to 10.5.2. I have an application that has suddenly developed this quirk. The build is otherwise stable and the code in question hasn't changed in weeks. Versions I compiled pre 10.5.2 work without the error but when I compile now it returns the error ever time.
