Are you talking about a rule that, for example, looks for a message with a given subject and adds the sender/recipient to the address book? If so, I've never heard that requested before (honestly!). This would probably be best handled by a rule that triggers a script action, something that we are planning for the future.

Entourage has this ability, and I used it to save the address of anybody who posts to an e-mail list I'm subscribed to. This is an easy way to ensure I have the addresses of people I'm in regular contact with. The ability to add anybody I reply to in the address book can also be useful for the same reason.
