That's the sad state of affairs reflected in the BBC these days. And why did they drop Daljit Dhaliwal for someone who doesn't enunciate as well?
Daljit Dhaliwal is an anchor for CNN International, based in the network's Atlanta headquarters. Currently, Dhaliwal is an anchor for World News and also hosts World Report, CNN's longest running program, which gives the world's broadcasters a global forum from which to report the news 'as they see it' to the rest of the world.
Dhaliwal joined CNN in August 2002. An accomplished broadcast journalist, Dhaliwal was previously an anchor for the British Broadcasting Corporation's (BBC) 24-hour international news channel, BBC World. She then went on to anchor World News for Public Television, which was produced by Britain's ITN network, and seen throughout the United States. Dhaliwal also co-anchored ITN's Channel Four News and served as a primetime anchor on ITN's 24-hour news channel. While at ITN, she also anchored World Focus, a weekly international news show....
