Eudora: Checking/Sending mail for only one personality...

Does anyone know whether it is possible to check or send mail for
only one personality (or even better, for a subset). An example of
when this is useful is when using VPN software that disables all
non-VPN IP traffic when active. Manually going and changing the
settings is a real pain.

Things that I have looked at in Eudora's AppleScript dictionary are:
"connect" ... this has nothing (in the dictionary at least) to
specify one or more personalities.
The personality class only allows access to the name and id, so you
can't access the settings for a personality that control whether mail
is checked/sent.
