Interesting! Do you have any tricks up your sleeve for activating a particular widget in the dashboard? I would love to be able to connect a keyboard shortcut to dashboard widgets like translation. One workaround I've discovered is I can just "open" the widget file through the Finder, but that has the unwanted side-effect of instantiating a new copy (Widgets open like PC applications!).
