But more importantly does anybody know of a script that will convert
RGB to CMYK using profiles? Where can I look for this info? I've
looked in Image Events, but can't seem to get the info I need there,
and Color Sync Scripting is just a crash-aholic. Where do I go from
here?

Get a copy of Photoshop and script that.

As Apple can't even be trusted to edit an image in iPhoto, or open and save
an image in Preview without completely screwing the colour management I'd
think twice about using their scripts to do anything with an image that
involves profiles.

I can't believe that iPhoto 5 *still* applies a Generic RGB profile to any
image that has a minimal edit (like a crop) applied to it. That is the kind
of mistake that indicates that the people who wrote it have *no*
appreciation of colour management whatsoever.

Oh come on... I agree with these problems, but "buy Photoshop" isn't helpful.

Can the OP post the script? I've had no problems using ColorSyncScripting to automate color space conversions.
