Doubtless that's the case. Might be some OSAX that would break, but if the OSA mechanism and Apple Events mechanisms are already working on Intel, then there's nothing to break your scripts. They are at such a high level so many layers away from the hardware that they will likely run without even having to be recompiled.



Does it have any impact regarding the Applescript implementation kit for making one's app scriptable?

Probably not.


It seems the only real heartache is for folks who have Carbon apps that they've been compiling in Metroworks. I have a friend who maintains a large Carbon app... that's written in Pascal. Is it even going to be possible for him to move a Pascal app into Xcode in order to do a Universal Binary?

X-Code doesn't do Pascal. It would likely be a bit of a chore, though there are tools to help out in such migration.
