I beg to disagree. Discussing the field where you play a game is
part of discussing the game!
As far as everyone here is concerned, it is their code running. How
efficient will it be?

The problem is... it is a mute point. The decision has been made.
We have to live with it.
Personally, I believe the decision have nothing to do with CISC or
RISC, who is better or who is worse. It has to do with commitment or
lack of from IBM and Freescale.
Now, there's another topic.
That aside, blanket statements like "RISC is faster than CISC" and
similar remarks don't lend anything to the discussion. The ad
hominem "this chip is better, my computer is better than yours"
argument is oversimplified at best... but generally a waste of
everyone's time.
