OS X drag and drop

Using this syntax, I could accomplish the equivalent of a Drag and Drop

operation:

set Dos2Mac to application file id "D2MC" as text

open fileList using application file Dos2Mac

where fileList is a list of files and Dos2Mac is a Classic application.

Is there way to do this with an OS X application that doesn't have a

creator type associated with it?
